About us
We are a Flemish couple, Stijn and Lieselot, and have always had a passion for dogs. We run a dog hotel in Belgium. When we emigrated to Spain in 2018, we quickly saw the dire condition of many dogs and we decided to take action. We started taking care of dogs at home, but we soon received too many requests and had to look for a suitable site. In 2022 we found a location with kennels and the necessary permits. We currently offer shelter to approximately 60 dogs.

Lovingdogs takes care of neglected, dumped or surrendered dogs.

At the end of the hunting season, many galgos and podencos become redundant for their hunter.

They are not seen as pets or loyal companions, but as objects of use.

Many are dumped and this is often accompanied by abuse, malnutrition, etc.

The ones with the most luck are handed over to our gate, unfortunately many others are killed before they can be saved.

It is distressing to see how some dogs arrive to us, thin, internal and external parasites, wounds, fractures, etc.

Unfortunately, many other dogs are also left behind.

Big, small, old but also a lot of puppies.

Often literally dumped in garbage bins, thrown out of the car or simply released among the fields.

All dogs receive a first check up and the first care is administered,

They are always provided with a microchip, tested for Mediterranean diseases, receive the necessary vaccinations and, if possible, they are made sterile.

Each dog is then evaluated according to their needs and requirements and a suitable adopter is found.
